For the first steps, this mainly consists of mapping and adding data (hydrology, watershed, history, water sources, etc.).
It’s going to take some time, especially as I’m not a mapping specialist.
Anyway, if anyone here is interested, let me know.
As this is sensitive work, I won’t go into all the background work, nor the objective - which may evolve with the discoveries - here now in public.
Of course, after this in-depth work, there will be public publications here, documentation, discussion openings, and so on.
Rojava Information Center reported 15 days ago that Turkish air strikes on the civilian gathering at the Tishreen dam today killed 4 people and injured 15.
Since the demonstrations at the dam began 10 days ago, Turkish strikes targeting the convoys and the dam have killed a total of 12 civilians and injured 70.
On 18/01, Turkish airstrikes on the dam killed 4 civilians and injured 15. The total civilian casualty is 12 killed, 70 injured.
Convoy participant Ruken told RIC she thinks that Turkey is bombing on the dam vicinity and convoys to scare people: “Turkey is trying to instil fear. Turkey is attacking barbarically. We were determined to go to the dam - we didn’t hesitate even as the drones were targeting our surroundings. We conveyed our message. But the airstrikes have not ceased in these days.”
