I’ve no idea!
I’ve been part of the Water Investigation Group for the past week, focusing on the pollution of Lake Pertusillo, Basilicata, Italy.
I, my family, my friends and others have been waiting for answers for over decades about the pollution of the lake where we grew up and lived in Glomel, Brittany.
Now, for the first time, an investigation has been published. I received a private message while I was in Berlin, preparing to present our work on Lake Pertusillo.
Now It’s done! Or just a window is open for more and we are all grateful for that !
The numbers, the figures, the concentration, the scale, the levels, the chemicals are terrible. Like I can’t share them with my family and friends. while we knew by empiricism but without figures. Now we can … … …
They destroy our land, they poison lives, they capture life’s freedoms, they pollute, they contaminate everything.
I was hit by a meteor in my body, in my personal story, my health in my village.
But I was born there and I’m savvy, I’m used to investigate with others in many cases. but then you get this mass and these long-awaited - data / numbers / figures - and how do you deal with that, what do you do, how do you feel about it?
For many reasons, if we can still have reasons facing such falls, we must have to tackle Being-in-the-Room Privilege: Elite Capture and Epistemic Deference (Olúfémi O. Táíwò, (2020)).

It’s a total violence but I definitely would like to thanks from the bottom of my heart journalist and investigators for doings things and getting things done after decades of waiting.

I mean, those company are capturing social local capabilities, they are destructing landscape, they are killing biodiversity and poisoning human lives. And their also doing Tender Offer / takeover on our mind and mindset.

Now, I’ve mourned friends for years, fought for decades here and there. This news, this investigation, liberates me in some ways and compels me in others. I don’t want to fall into the “advice to others in case of trauma” trap.
Okay, that’s fine if it’s a like-for-like case you can:
- Having friends, a team / communities / people who understand you without having to say a thousand words can save your life.

This means that we need to help nurture these relationships in advance of any crisis, to facilitate the emergence of such a configuration for those who need it.
Now more than ever, I won’t bend my knees.
